On that day we left early for Cannock and we parked the car at Frieda's grave.It was a very sunny but frosty morning. We stayed there until mid-afternoon. We waited for two or three hours in vain. Then our patience was rewarded and birds started showing . All morning we heard a willow warbler call. Eventually , this bird decided to pay a visit to the car-park and have a little bath in a basin of water under one of the small trees.Then we took pictures of him while he was very wet and shaking himself.
Ce matin-là, nous sommes parties de bonne heure pour Cannock et nous avons garé la voiture au lieu-dit 'Frieda's grave' . La matinée était ensolleillée avec de la gelée blanche.Nous sommes restées là jusqu'au milieu de l'après-midi.Nous avons attendu pendant deux ou trois heures en vain.Puis notre patience a été récompensée et les oiseaux ont commencé à se montrer.Toute la matinée nous avons entendu les appels d'un pouillot fitis. Par la suite cet oiseau a décidé de faire un tour jusqu'au parking et de prendre un bain dans une écuelle d'eau sous l'un des petits arbres.Alors nous avons pris des photos de lui alors que ,bien mouillé ,il se secouait.
