This male common darter is probably feeding from a perch over the water. I like the bright red colours which stand out so well against the watery background.
Ce sympetrum mâle est perché sur une brindille au-dessus de l'eau, probablement en train de se nourrir. J'aime sa couleur rouge vif qui ressort si bien sur l'arrière-plan de l'eau.
This is a really nice composition, the crisp red of the Darter against the lovely watery background.
