I saw this black redstart on a low stone wall at the top of the beach at Penvins.(Southern Brittany). He walked on top of the wall , wagging his tail, and from time to time he dropped down on the beach where he foraged in the black sea-wrack.I took these photos from the car-window as I did not want to disturb him by getting out of the car.At first, I thought it was the female of the species but after looking at the photos, I decided it was a first-winter male because of the whitish panel on its wings.
J'ai vu ce rougequeue noir sur un petit muret en pierre en haut de la plage de Penvins. Il marchait le long du muret en remuant la queue et de temps en temps il se laissait tomber sur la plage où il cherchait sa nourriture dans le varech noir.J'ai pris ces photos par la fenêtre de ma voiture car je ne voulais pas le déranger en sortant de la voiture.Au début, je croyais que c'était la femelle de l'espèce mais après avoir regardé les photos , j'ai décidé que c'était un mâle premier hiver en raison de la plage alaire pâle.
