It is cold but very bright and sunny. The light is almost dazzling ,especially on the light-coloured sand of the beaches. I spot this kestrel half-way up a beach in spite of the blinding sunlight opposite over the sea. No one on the beach. A lone sanderling at the edge of the water and a cirl bunting calling from a bush above the beach. We go down to the edge of the water so as to have the sun behind us when we take photos of the kestrel.We move slowly on our knees as close as we dare without spooking the bird.
Il fait froid mais le temps est très ensoleillé. La lumière est presque éblouissante , particulièrement sur le sable clair des plages. Je repère ce faucon à mi-hauteur de la plage malgré la lumière aveuglante du soleil en face sur la mer. Personne sur la plage. Un sanderling tout seul au bord de l'eau et un bruant zizi qui appelle depuis un buisson au-dessus de la plage. Nous descendons jusqu'au bord de l'eau pour avoir le soleil derrière nous quand nous prendrons des photos du faucon. Nous progressons lentement à genoux vers l'oiseau aussi près que possible sans l'effaroucher.
