Marise, a birdforum friend who lives in a small village south of Birmingham,had invited us to come to her place for the day. We were to take photos of the birds in her garden from her hide. I did not expect the hide to be such a huge and comfortable chalet, the sort of place you would love to spend holidays in if you fancied staying in the middle of a wood or by the shore of a lake .So, with the two windows wide open , we had good views of the birds that gathered round the feeders.We ate, talked and took photos for several hours and we had a great day. I was particularly happy to have captured a wren. ( at last!)
Marise, une amie de Birdforum qui habite dans un petit village au sud de Birmingham, nous avait invitées à passer la journée chez elle.Nous devions prendre des photos des oiseaux de son jardin à partir de son observatoire.A ma grande surprise, l'observatoire se révéla être un énorme et comfortable chalet, le genre d'habitation où l'on aimerait passer des vacances si on avait envie de séjourner au milieu d'un bois ou au bord d'un lac.Donc, avec les deux fenêtres grandes ouvertes , nous étions bien placées pour voir les oiseaux qui se rassemblaient autour des mangeoires.Nous avons mangé, parlé et pris des photos pendant plusieurs heures et nous avons passé une excellente journée.J'étais particulièrement contente d'avoir capturé un troglodyte ( enfin!)
