On that day Kim and I went to Penvins and walked on the rocks there. It was very sunny and very cold too. We found a small flock of turnstones foraging near a tiny inlet of water in the rocks. The place was sheltered from the strong wind and we sat there happily watching these birds as they moved in the surf ,among the empty oyster-shells or on the rocks.The water was very clear and the light was perfect. Turnstones are supposed to be quite tame so they did not bother about us taking pictures of them.
Ce jour-là, Kim et moi sommes allées à Penvins et nous nous sommes promenées sur les rochers. Il y avait beaucoup de soleil et il faisait très froid.Nous avons trouvé une petite troupe de tournepierres occupés à chercher leur nourriture dans une crique minuscule.L'endroit était abrité du vent fort et nous sommes restées là assises, toutes contentes d'observer ces oiseaux alors qu'ils se déplaçaient dans les vagues ,parmi les coquilles d'huîtres vides et sur les rochers.L'eau était très claire, la lumière était parfaite. On dit que les tournepierres ne sont pas farouches . Ils ne semblaient pas être gênés quand nous avons pris des photos d'eux.
