LAST JUNE PHOTOS/ Dernières photos de juin

This photo was taken at Kerhervy ,on the river Blavet, between Lorient and Hennebont. That morning , the weather was very dull. This picture shows some wooden boats left to rot away on the mudflats in a bend of the river. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Groix, an island close to Lorient, was the main harbour in france for tuna-fishing.With the fazing out of sailing fishing-boats, these wooden boats were not used any more.At low tide , one can see birds such as ringed plovers and common sandpipers.

Cette photo a été prise à Kerhervy sur le Blavet entre Lorient et Hennebont. Ce matin-là, le temps était très maussade. Cette image montre des bateaux en bois abandonnés sur la vasière dans un méandre de la rivière.Au début du vingtième siècle, Groix, une ile proche de Lorient , était le principal port de France pour la pêche au thon.Avec la disparition des bateaux de pêche à voile, ces bateaux en bois ne furent plus utilisés. A marée basse, on peut voir des oiseaux comme le gravelot et le chevalier guignette.
