KINGFISHER / Martin-pêcheur / October 18th

That day we wanted to photograph a kingfisher. So we left the house at 5.45 a.m. , arrived at a small nature reserve near Droitwich at 8.00 and stayed there until 3 p.m.The weather was very dull and the place was very quiet . Not much to see. After waiting for two or three hours, a kingfisher appeared, landed on that stick and stayed there for exactly two minutes before disappearing again. No time to check if my camera settings were ok.I got a few shots before it flew off, for good.We also saw a grey heron passing by , a little grebe and a wren .
