I think Grey herons are at their best on photos when they are seen wading and scanning the water or lurking half hidden in reeds. But they look quite ungainly and embarrassed when they stand on a bank. I think they look a bit like dignified old gentlemen in their Sunday best.
A mon avis, les hérons cendrés rendent mieux en photo quand on les voit marcher dans l'eau en scrutant la surface de l'eau ou quand ils sont à moitié cachés dans les roseaux. Mais ils ont l'air gauche et embarrassé quand ils sont debout sur une berge. Je trouve qu'ils ressemblent un peu à de vieux messieurs dignes dans leur costume du dimanche.
