During my stay in north-west england last April , I went back to Meresandswood ,north of Ormskirk , hoping to capture one of the kingfishers that are often seen perched outside Rufford hide.No kingfisher that time. We saw some jays, unfortunately too far to photograph well. We were entertained by a pair of bullfinches. The female never stopped flying here and there , gathering material for the nest while the male just stayed there ,perched on a twig, watching her.
Pendant mon séjour dans le nord-ouest de l'Angleterre en avril dernier, je suis retournée à Meresandswood au nord de la ville de Ormskirk , espérant prendre en photo l'un des martins-pêcheurs qui souvent se perchent devant l'observatoire de Rufford. Pas de martin-pêcheur cette-fois-là. Nous avons vu des geais, malheureusement trop loin pour de bonnes photos. Nous avons été amusés par le comportement d'un couple de bouvreuils. La femelle n'arrêtait pas de voler ici et là pour rassembler du matériau pour le nid pendant que le mâle restait là perché sur un rameau à l'observer.
