On january 10th, the temperature was -4°C when I decided to drive round Rhuys. Lovely bright sun on the frozen mudflats and banks.I was particularly happy to capture a kingfisher diving from a wall or from a small tree near a brook at Saint-Colombier. I watched the bird for about half-an-hour but it never managed to capture a single fish. I hope it has survived the cold spell.
Le 10 janvier, il faisait -4°C quand j'ai décidé de faire le tour de Rhuys en voiture.Un grand beau soleil sur les vasières et les berges gelées.J'ai été particulièrement contente de saisir un martin-pêcheur qui plongeait d'un mur ou d'un arbuste près d'un ruisseau à Saint-Colombier. Je l'ai observé pendant près d'une demi-heure mais il n' a jamais réussi à attraper un seul poisson.J'espère qu'il a survécu à la période de grand froid.
