LASNE ON A BANK HOLIDAY - 09-05-2013

Ascencion Day is a bank holiday in France. Lots of visitors walking round the saltpans at Lasné.Other people having a picnic on Tascon, the island nearby . The tide is out and it is easy to get there via the causeway. It is very sunny but the wind is very strong and not very warm.Two great finds for me : a pair of whitethroats popping out of a small bush and a small green butterfly , called Green Hairstreak.I use a NikonD90 fitted with a 200-500mm lens to photograph the birds and a NikonD50 fitted with a 70-300 mm lens to capture the butterflies and plants.

Le jour de l'ascencion est férié en France. Beaucoup de visiteurs qui font le tour des marais salants de Lasné. D'autres personnes qui pique-niquent sur Tascon, l'ile à côté. La mer est basse et il est facile d'y accéder par une digue.Le temps est très ensoleillé mais le vent est très fort et pas très chaud. Deux belles observations pour moi: deux fauvettes grisettes qui surgissent hors d'un petit buisson et un petit papillon vert, appelé Argus vert.J'utilise un NikonD90 avec un objectif 200-500mm pour photographier les oiseaux et un NikonD50 avec un objectif 70-300mm pour saisir les papillons et plantes.
