MOSES GATE PARK

I love watching crested grebes as they dive and fish to feed their young.A good place where to see them is Moses Gate Park in Bolton. We went there at the end of september when they came very close to the bank to fish.The sky and the water were very dark on that day. They never stopped diving and feeding the juveniles.We went back a month later when the weather was sunnier but colder and quite windy.There were fewer birds and they stayed in the centre of the lake most of the time.I also took some photos of a black swan because of its bright red bill and of Canada geese which are so common in England.They stare at you as if they were willing you to give them your sandwiches.

J'aime beaucoup observer les grèbes huppés quand ils plongent et pêchent pour nourrir leurs petits. Un bon endroit pour les voir: Moses Gate Park à Bolton dans le nord de l'Angleterre.Nous y sommes allées fin septembre: ils s'approchaient très près de la rive pour pêcher. Le ciel et l'eau étaient très sombres ce jour-là.Ils n'arrêtaient pas de plonger et de nourrir les juvéniles.Un mois plus tard ,nous y sommes retournées.Le temps était plus ensoleillé mais plus froid et assez venteux.Il y avait beaucoup moins de grèbes.Ils sont restés au centre du lac pendant presque tout le temps.J'ai également pris des photos d'un cygne noir à cause de son bec rouge vif et de Bernaches du Canada qui sont si communes en Angleterre.Elles vous regardent fixement comme si elles voulaient vous convaincre de leur donner vos sandwichs.
