Wandering with a Camera

Quiberon / March 9th

We captured a small flock of sanderlings as they ran along the surf on a beach near Conguel. It was still very windy and I was a bit worried about getting sand in my camera as I knelt down very low near the edge of the water.

Suscinio / March 11th

On that day ,we did some birdwatching at Suscinio near the marshes between the castle and the beach. We saw two buzzards, one kestrel , one lark and one glossy ibis. I counted at least sixteen spoonbills , flying about or wading in the pond. Sometimes they came quite close to the road but whenever we tried to get near to photograph them, they would fly off and forage at the other end of the marsh , near the reedbeds.
